IRVINE, Calif. – April 15, 2025 – Enevate, a pioneering battery innovation company enabling extreme fast charge and high energy density battery technologies for electric vehicles (EVs) and other markets, announces a collaboration with Brelle, integrating an advanced high rate battery into a hypercar.
Enevate and Brelle have developed a next generation propulsion solution with enhanced power, range and reliability and integrated it into a high performance EV. This advanced performance is enabled by Enevate’s revolutionary cell technology, offering ultra-fast charging (4C on every charge) and high energy density (610 Wh/L, 265 Wh/kg) in a 47Ah pouch cell. Leveraging their deep expertise in drivetrain and thermal management systems, Brelle has engineered a battery pack capable of charging at about 4C, achieving a cell-to-pack efficiency of 85%. Brelle also integrated this battery pack and drivetrain into a custom-made EV.
“Integrating Enevate’s advanced high-rate cell technology with Brelle’s high performance pack and drivetrain into an EV marks an exciting milestone for Enevate. This showcases the real-world impact of our innovations. The enhanced power, range, and reliability we’ve achieved together, with our batteries delivering sustained 4C charging and high energy density, demonstrates a significant leap forward in high-performance EV propulsion. “said Bob Kruse, CEO at Enevate.
Martin Hermez, CEO of Brelle stated, “Our partnership with Enevate is a significant step toward redefining drivetrain efficiency and performance. By merging our expertise in electrified propulsion systems with Enevate’s advanced battery technology, we are driving the transition to a more electrified and sustainable future. Furthermore, rigorous testing at the UCI Horiba Institute has allowed us to validate full system functionality and conduct limit testing ahead of vehicle integration.”
This partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to advancing EV technology, delivering industry-leading fast charge solutions, and setting new benchmarks for efficiency and reliability in the evolving mobility landscape.
As part of this collaboration, battery pack and full drivetrain technology and prototypes will be available, enabling partners and OEMs to explore the benefits of these next-generation technologies firsthand.
